We build the entire chain, from site technology to energy market access.

NGEN is a vertically integrated energy company. Across Europe we develop, build, connect and commercially operate utility-scale battery storage (BESS), on our own balance sheet and for the developers and investors who bring us their projects. One partner from the empty field to the settlement statement.

CHOOSE YOUR PATH

Where is your
project today?

I am building a project

You have a site, grid permit and capital. You need a proven storage delivery partner and a revenue contract that passes credit review.

I own an operating asset

Your asset is operating and earning. Could it earn more in the market, and what would switching operators involve?

I have a ready-to-build project

Lifecycle

This market is fragmented.
We are not.

Battery projects often pass between developers, EPC contractors, traders and investors. Each handover adds time, risk and cost.

NGEN can carry the full sequence, or take one clear part of it.
1

Develop

What it covers:
Site, permits, grid connection, design and investment case. Or ready-to-build acquisition.
Is it ours?
Yes
2

Procure

What it covers:
Tesla Megapack above roughly 10 MW; NGEN G-MAX and Tier 1 suppliers below.
Is it ours?
Yes
3

Build

What it covers:
Project management, subcontractors, civil works, electrical works and commissioning.
Is it ours?
Yes
4

Connect

What it covers:
NGEN Box and ESGP integration as a standalone unit.
Is it ours?
Yes
5

Prequalify

What it covers:
TSO prequalification, BRP and BSP registration.
Is it ours?
Yes
6

Operate

What it covers:
Multi-market dispatch, 24/7 desk, BRP, imbalance, REMIT and investor reporting.
Is it ours?
Yes
7

Maintain

What it covers:
O&M and availability management for assets we built.
Is it ours?
Yes

Three ways to work with us:

WAy 01
As your contractor
We deliver the asset turnkey, then operate it commercially. O&M is included when we build it.
WAy 02
As your delivery partner
You keep ownership. We handle development and construction.
WAy 03
As your co-investor
We take equity, build and operate, as we do with our own projects.

Development, EPC & OPERATION

Delivery from permits
to energisation.

A battery project succeeds or fails in delivery, and then in daily operation. We manage both under one contract: the team that builds the asset also operates and optimises it.
GRID CONNECTION
Grid connection as a workstream.
We manage the application, negotiation and agreement in markets we know.
PROCUREMENT
Equipment with a track record.
Tesla Megapack above roughly 10 MW, NGEN G-MAX and Tier 1 suppliers below.
CONTROLS BOUNDARY
One party owns the controls boundary.
The controller, metering, prequalification tests and market interface are ours — the boundary where most battery projects come apart. Here it sits between nothing.
COMMISSIONING
Commissioning through to prequalification.
Not handover at mechanical completion. The project is finished when the system operator recognises unit and it starts earning.
OPTIMISATION
Operation and optimisation, not just delivery.
After energisation the same platform dispatches the asset across wholesale and reserve markets and optimises it against prices, availability and the cycle budget.
O&M
O&M for the life of the asset.
Availability is managed by the company that also dispatches the asset, so the cycle budget and the warranty envelope sit with one contracting party.

Financing & rout to market

A revenue contract that passes credit review, backed by our own trading.

The bankability of a battery project is decided on the revenue side. The lender needs a predictable cash flow; the owner wants to keep the market upside. We reconcile the two contractually, and we can do it because the revenue behind the contract is earned by our own trading operation, under our own BRP and BSP licences.

Three commercial structures

A floor sized to debt service.

This is not a generic guarantee. We set the guaranteed minimum annual revenue per MW at the coverage your financial model and your lender require, at a pre-agreed availability level. Revenue above the floor stays with you.

Tolling, where the financing requires full cash-flow predictability.

A fixed monthly fee per MW of installed power. NGEN takes the market risk in full.

Merchant, with the full upside retained.

You keep the market risk and the market reward; we run the dispatch, the optimisation and the reporting.

how

From review to operation.

From the first review to daily trading, the whole path below sits with one counterparty and one contract, and it moves in days, not months.
REVIEW
A technical and revenue review before the term sheet.
We review the specification, the target market and the availability profile, and tell you what is realistically achievable.
CONTRACT
A term sheet in days.
A System Operation and Trading Agreement with defined KPIs, reporting obligations and settlement mechanics, prepared for your lender's credit review. Where the project also includes construction, the counterparty stays the same: one credit risk, not three interfaces.
TRADING
After signature, our own operation trades the asset.
Day-ahead and intraday wholesale plus FCR, aFRR and mFRR reserves, with capacity reallocated between markets in real time.
COMPLIANCE
One technology chain, one responsibility.
The NGEN Box at the unit, ESGP for dispatch and market access, SG Trader for allocation decisions; developed in-house and hosted in the EU. We take over balance responsibility, imbalance handling and REMIT reporting on your behalf.

Track record

We make our claims about
assets we own.

Everything we claim about building and trading storage can be verified on our own fleet. Same markets, same licences, same algorithms, same 24/7 trading desk.

Faq Cta Background

Building in one of these markets?

Divestment and institutional partnerships

Value accumulates in layers.
So does risk.

A storage project matures in layers, from permitted site to operating unit with a revenue history, and each layer has its own risk profile and its own buyer.

We structure at SPV level and can sell the asset, retain the optimisation mandate, or both, so a partner can enter at any point.

Ready to build

What you acquire
Permits, grid connection agreement, project design.

What you take on
Construction and market risk, lowest entry cost.

Built

What you acquire
A commissioned plant without a commercial layer

What you take on
Market risk; suits an investor with their own trading capability

Connected and prequalified

What you acquire
An operating, monitored asset with market access

What you take on
Market risk, with the technical route to market already proven

With revenue history

What you acquire
An asset with a demonstrated earnings record

What you take on
The least uncertainty, at the highest valuation

Optimisation mandate only

What you acquire
No asset. A portfolio mandate across storage you already own.

What you take on
Nothing structural; a floor or tolling can move the market risk to us.

Getting started

Three steps, and what
we need from you.

Step 01
A conversation
Present the project: site, connection stage, power and capacity, target COD, financing structure. Thirty minutes is enough for both sides to know whether the conversation makes sense.
Step 02
An assessment
We assess achievable revenue in your market and propose a commercial structure that fits the financing. Where construction is also in play, we add an indicative schedule and the equipment position. At no cost and no obligation.
Step 03
A term sheet
Non-binding, in days rather than weeks. Due diligence, contract and delivery follow.
CtaModule Background

Useful documentation: the grid connection agreement or application, the single-line diagram, the equipment specification (if selected), the land status and the target financing structure.
