Managing energy is becoming more complex. SG Connect by NGEN brings them together in one digital platform and enables smart, automated energy management.

What is SG Connect?

SG Connect is NGEN’s digital platform for connecting and managing energy production, consumption and storage.

It collects real-time data about energy flows and connects the electricity grid with energy assets such as solar systems, battery storage and smart consumers. Users can monitor and manage their energy through the SG Connect app.

But SG Connect goes beyond energy monitoring. It can actively adjust how and when energy is used.

How does SG Connect manage energy?

SG Connect helps optimize energy use according to current conditions and the user's needs.

The system can automatically shift consumption to more favourable periods, charge battery storage when electricity prices are lower and use stored energy when prices rise. It can also increase the use of locally produced solar energy and help limit peak power demand from the grid.

For example, flexible devices such as EV chargers, heat pumps or water heaters can operate when conditions are more favourable – without the user having to manage them manually.
