NGEN becomes exclusive G-MAX distributor in Slovenia

NGEN is now the exclusive distributor of FOX ESS G-MAX industrial battery systems in Slovenia, available either as standalone storage or as G-MAX Powered by NGEN with SG CONNECT integration.

NGEN has become the exclusive distributor of FOX ESS G-MAX battery systems in Slovenia. The agreement extends an established partnership between the two companies, built on earlier cooperation in commercial and industrial storage.

G-MAX is a modular industrial battery energy storage system rated at 100 kW output and 215 kWh capacity per unit, scalable to 12 MW / 25.8 MWh. It is designed for commercial and industrial companies that need measurable control over energy costs, operational flexibility and grid resilience.

The two companies contribute different parts of the system. FOX ESS supplies field-tested battery hardware. NGEN adds energy management, local market knowledge and experience integrating storage into complex operating environments — sites with existing generation, variable production schedules and industrial grid connections where the load profile, rather than total consumption, drives the cost.

In Slovenia, G-MAX is available in two configurations. As a standalone industrial battery storage solution, it provides storage capacity under the customer's own control. As G-MAX Powered by NGEN, it is integrated with SG CONNECT, which manages charging and discharging against day-ahead and intraday prices, network tariff structures and site consumption, with SG Brain handling forecasting and optimisation.

The distinction matters commercially. Storage capacity determines what a system is physically able to do; the management layer determines how much of that capability is converted into cost reduction over a billing period. For industrial connections in Slovenia, where network charges are set by peak demand rather than by total consumption, that difference is the substance of the business case.
