SG CONNECT wins EUPD Research Top Innovation Award 2026

NGEN's SG CONNECT energy management platform has received the EUPD Research Top Innovation Award 2026 in the Energy Management Systems category for the German and Austrian markets.

SG CONNECT has received the EUPD Research Top Innovation Award 2026 in the Energy Management Systems category. The award was announced on 17 June and presented on 23 June at Intersolar Europe in Munich, where NGEN Chief Commercial Officer Matija Dolinar accepted it on behalf of the company.

The award is granted by EUPD Research, the Bonn-based market research institute, and is among the more established product distinctions in the solar and storage industry. Its weight comes from the evaluation method: the assessment is built in three independent stages, with 30 percent contributed by EUPD analysts, 30 percent by an external expert jury, and 40 percent by a direct survey of installers. The largest single share of the decision therefore rests with the professionals who commission energy management systems on site every day.

The recognition was presented for the German and Austrian markets, where competition among storage providers is denser than anywhere else in Europe. For a company developing its technology in Slovenia, the result confirms that a platform built there can hold its position in the most demanding markets on the continent.
