SG CONNECT now reports optimisation results in euros

The SG CONNECT App now shows the financial result of battery optimisation directly in euros. The figure is calculated from each customer's own electricity prices, consumption profile and network tariffs, so it reflects the conditions that site actually operates under.

The calculation follows the decisions the system makes. SG Brain analyses day-ahead and intraday market prices, consumption patterns, production forecasts and grid constraints, then determines when to charge the battery, when to discharge it, when to shave a demand peak and when to sell energy to the market. The app tracks each of those decisions and translates its effect into euros.

Three effects accumulate separately and are visible as they occur: lower network charges from peak shaving, savings from price arbitrage between low- and high-price periods, and revenue from participation in flexibility markets.

For companies operating an NGEN G-MAX system, this closes a gap that has been difficult to address in energy management generally. Energy cost is a managed financial parameter, but the management and the reporting have usually sat in different places — the control system decides, and the effect surfaces months later in an invoice review. Here the platform that manages the cost is also the platform that reports it, which makes the result checkable against the operating record rather than reconstructed after the fact.

The reporting applies across NGEN-controlled storage systems and is available to existing SG CONNECT users without additional installation.
